My ideal job

Posted on Feb 3rd, 2008 by Michael
Again, let me know what you think!

It has been said by many respected people that before you can change the world you must first change yourself.  The first part of my ideal job is simply to become a person who has enough knowledge and scope on the world to be someone that can help anyone who may have need of it.  To do this will travel around the world learning from people wiser than I and understanding the kind of problems people around the world are having.  I will read books, go to lectures, study people, or anything else that will help me gain a grasp on how to universally connect with people.  Once I felt I had sufficiently prepared myself to meet any challenge that would arise I will switch my attention to changing the world.  The rest of my life will be devoted to giving people the inspiration and confidence they needed to deal with the twists and turns of life.  And beyond just helping them avoid unhappiness, I will teach them how to be in a constant state of happiness by courageously following their own dreams.  A typical day would be either giving a motivational speech to a group of people, giving one on one counsel, or training others so that my influence and ability to help will be far beyond my physical being.  My program will extend to all corners of the earth so the entire world will be following its dream. That is my dream.

My scholarship essay

Let me know what you think!

There are so many people in the world who wake up each morning to a world that they would rather not be apart of.  Each day is a struggle to get through and seems the same as the last.  My passion is helping people with negative views about the world and the way it works to change their ways of thinking so they can appreciate all the beauty and excitement this world has to offer.  There is lots being done in the world today in regards to feeding the impoverished or giving money to students from poor families, but I believe that doing this isn't quite enough.  I want to inspire people to have the courage and confidence to change the world.  In my opinion giving a person living in poverty the confidence to fight their way out of poverty is worth much more than simply giving them money.  While the money can be taken away, a strong sense of faith will never go away. I plan on setting up charities all over the world that feed people's spiritual side.  There will be an entire staff that will be professionally trained to inspire people at school, work, or anywhere people are willing to listen and help them realize that with enough hard work and perseverance they can accomplish anything.  People are in desperate need of hope, and I'm going to be the one to provide it to them, not as a fanciful dream, but as a realistic possibility.
